By the way, the huaraches those ultra marathon runners use are much simpler, made of nothing but recycled tire tread sole and leather straps.

I have asked one Mexican lady in the US, where can I buy authentic huaraches, Her reply was "oh, a sandal?". That moment all the charisma and illusion of huarache had disappeared. I was thinking of the footwear those Mexican indigenous wear to run ultra marathon(100 miles running on unpaved mountain road) and win. i realized that the shoes won't make you run faster but the hard training will.
